Thrust Ball Bearings

Thrust Ball Bearings

Axial ball bearings are demountable, the shaft ring, the body ring and the cage with balls are assembled separately. They are manufactured in multiple series. They are supplied as single-directional or bidirectional.
The single-row axial bearings consist of a shaft ring with an orbit, a cage with balls and a body ring with an orbit. These bearings can transmit axial load in one direction only. The bearings must not be exposed to radial load. The bearings are manufactured in normal accuracy, for seating more demanding in terms of accuracy bearings with higher running accuracy are used.
Bidirectional axial bearings have two cages with balls placed between the shaft ring and two body rings. The central shaft ring has orbits for roller elements on both sides, and is fastened onto a pintle. The body rings have the orbit on one side only. These bearings can transmit axial load in both directions. The bearings must not be exposed to radial load. The bearings are manufactured in normal accuracy, for seating more demanding in terms of accuracy bearings with higher running accuracy are used.
