Strojárska výroba in Bytča has more than 100 years of history. Already in 1893 the first diameter was made for wood, which can be considered as the beginning of engineering in Bytča. Company history began to be written in 1906, when the company Považský železomysel was registered. The company has undergone a complex development process and under its current name KINEX was registered in 1960.

During the historical development, the structure of the production program gradually changed. The first bearing made in Slovakia was from the production plant in Kysucké Nové Mesto and from the production line was in 1950. At the beginning of this plant were produced spheres and ball bearings and later rollers and roller bearings. The key year for this race was 1959, when it began to produce rolling stock for rolling stock, which has continued to this day.

In the factory in Bytč, the bearing production started in 1965, when single-row ball bearings were produced. In 1968 the range was expanded by special double-roller bearings for the textile industry, and the bearings for the engines for combustion engines (1978) and bearings for the center of bicycles (1987) were gradually added.

Production plants have undergone transformation at the beginning of the nineties and are now part of the KINEX BEARINGS Group. Since 1.9.2000, ZVL Skalica, as has been associated with KINEX as a production plant. In 2008, the production of aircraft deposits from the factory in Skalice was transferred to Bytča and the production in the plant was completed.

At present, production at the Bytča plant is focused on the production of bearings for the textile industry, for water pumps for combustion engines and the production of bearings for the aviation industry. Kysucký závod is focused on bearings for the railway industry and standard catalog assortment.

The production of bearings under the name KINEX is realized in 2 plants based in Slovakia. The assortment of bearings includes a wide portfolio of types and modifications. KINEX bearings are manufactured in accordance with international ISO standards. The bearing division plants are certified by RWTUV and have ISO 9001, ISO / TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, AS 9100 and IRIS quality management systems in place. The high quality of the products is guaranteed by the machinery park, progressive production technology and highly qualified personnel.

An inseparable part of production is also the provision of technical training such as:

• construction and manufacture of pressing equipment and tools
• construction and production of cutting tools and clamps
• construction and manufacture of machinery and machinery
• general repairs, reconstruction and modernization of machines

These activities are provided by Strojáreň sro, which is incorporated in KINEX-KLF, as Kysucké Nové Mesto.
